It gives me great pleasure to introduce this week’s middle school spotlight, Joseph Henry. An 8th grader at TCPS, Joseph is a member of the archery team and the choir. He started at TCPS in the first grade and one thing he loves the most is that the teachers and staff are kind and caring. Case Fowler Middle Student of the Week September 2018
Case Fowler is a 7th grader at TCPS. He started at TCPS in the 6th grade and is a member of the football team. When asked what he likes about TCPS, Case replied, “Everything!” Case likes playing football and reading during his spare time. Although Case enjoys all of his classes, his favorite subject is history. Teachers describe Case as polite, courteous, and a delight to have in class. They also said that he is very well mannered and loves life. Case’s favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Lauren Williamson High Student of the Week September 2018
Lauren Williamson is a sophomore at TCPS and has attended school here for four years. She has a younger sister, Lydia, and a younger brother, Luke, who also attend TCPS. Lauren and her family are members at Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo where she is involved in the youth group and the Zamar Student Choir. She is also a member of the TCPS High School Choir, the Beta Club, and belongs to the National Honor Society. Susan Davis High School Teacher of the Week August 2018
Mrs. Susan’s primary role at TCPS is serving as our high school guidance counselor, but while working with her each day, I have realized that she fills many positions on our campus. From scheduling to advising our students and making sure they are headed in the right direction academically and spiritually, her influence is felt in many ways. On a personal level, Mrs. Susan met her husband Justin in grad school at Ole Miss (where dreams come true every day). Sophie Harrison is a sophomore at TCPS and has attended school here since kindergarten. She and her family live in Pontotoc and attend Hope Church in Tupelo. Her younger brother, Brock, is a 4th grade student at TCPS. Sophie loves competitive sports and is a member of American Freedom Express 16 and under softball team. She also competes in softball, soccer, and basketball at TCPS. Some of her hobbies include spending time with friends at the lake and also family time with her brother. Anna Faith Bonds is an 8th grader at TCPS. She serves as the junior high choir chaplain and is a member of the Beta Club. She has been a student at TCPS since K4 kindergarten. Anna Faith likes that the teachers are so willing to invest in her education. She said that it means so much to her that they want her to do well.
