Joseph Powell is in the 6th grade, and his favorite subject is science. While this is only Joseph’s second year at TCPS, he feels right at home. Joseph says, “I love how TCPS is a Christian school, and I also love the smaller class sizes.” In his spare time, Joseph enjoys playing basketball and golf. His favorite verse is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” The 6th grade teachers have praised Joseph for being a strong Christian example
Whit Harbour is our Elementary Student of the week. Whit is 10 years old and in the fifth grade. He has attended TCPS since kindergarten. His favorite subject is Math and his favorite sport is tennis. He hopes to be on the TCPS Tennis team one day. Whit has a dream of becoming Head Engineer of the U.S. Navy. Whit loves TCPS because a lot of his friends go here and the teachers are so nice. He also says the food is good here. Tatum Pannell is an 8th grader at TCPS and has been here since the first grade. She is a member of the Beta Club and Middle School Choir, where she serves as the historian and social chairman. Tatum also likes swimming, playing softball, art and playing with her puppies. Tatum said that she loves TCPS because she can worship God freely everyday. She also said that all of her teachers are nice and helpful. Teachers describe Tatum as smart, ambitious, considerate, and compassionate. Elizabeth is a sophomore at TCPS and has attended school here since the fourth grade. She has three siblings; Mary Grace, Julia Fair, and Tony. Mary Grace is a freshman at Ole Miss (where dreams come true every day). Her younger sister, Julia Fair, is a sixth grade student at TCPS while her little brother, Tony, is a kindergarten student at First Methodist Church where she and her family attend. Elizabeth loves competitive sports where she excels in soccer and tennis. She is a member of the Saltillo Futbol Club and competes at TCPS in both soccer and tennis.
Rory Wren is our elementary Student of the Week. Rory is five years old and is in kindergarten. She has two big sisters with her at TCPS. She loves learning how to read, and her favorite sport is soccer. Rory says her favorite thing to do is help other people. She dreams that one day she can be a “police lady who lives in a hotel”. Rory says that she loves TCPS because she gets to be in Mrs. Todd’s class. Mrs. Todd states, “Rory is a sweet girl with a kind heart.” Rory exemplifies Matthew 22:37-39 by loving God
Bradyn Long started at TCPS in the 5 th grade and is currently a 6 th grader. He participates in baseball, basketball and chess at TCPS and is also a member of Boy Scouts. Bradyn likes that everything that is studied at TCPS goes back to the Bible. He likes camping, legos, chess, drawing and creating things. Bradyn’s favorite subject is math.
