Lauren Williamson is a sophomore at TCPS and has attended school here for four years. She has a younger sister, Lydia, and a younger brother, Luke, who also attend TCPS. Lauren and her family are members at Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo where she is involved in the youth group and the Zamar Student Choir. She is also a member of the TCPS High School Choir, the Beta Club, and belongs to the National Honor Society.
Lauren loves competitive sports and has been a member of the varsity tennis team since the 7th grade. She and her teammates have won three consecutive state championships and while her favorite hobby may be tennis, she also loves playing the piano and spending time with her family and friends.
On a personal note, Lauren’s favorite food is pizza, but she does not like brussel sprouts which makes perfect sense. Lauren has been recovering from surgery on her leg and expects to be fully healed by December. One of the first things I noticed about her as she moved around campus on crutches with a full knee brace was that she never complained but always had a beautiful smile and a kind word for everyone she met. Lauren loves many things about TCPS, but she is especially thankful for all the great friends she has here. What a sweet and kind young lady! Great job Lauren Williamson!
