One must be reminded of his past in order to appreciate the present and hold a vision for the future. TCPS is no different. We must remember that TCPS began as a ministry of First Evangelical Church (now Hope Church) in 1988 to offer a Christian worldview education to students in the greater Tupelo area. It is with thankful hearts that we remember those who had a vision and desire to establish such a school. It is now our responsibility to maintain that vision and desire that TCPS be the school of excellence that was envisioned over 29 years ago.

It is amazing to look back over just the past few years to see how God’s hand has guided the direction and development of TCPS from the time we shared the facilities at First Evangelical, to the decision to build on the Belden property donated by Jake Mills, to the commitment in 2003 to add a grade each year, to the building of the Jake Mills High School Building in 2006 and now to the development of the athletic facilities. Looking back you can see how doors were opened and closed along the way in order for us to be right where we are at this time. We firmly believe that we are at the right place at the right time according to God’s plan for our school. We thank Him for the blessings that have been showered upon us.

Since 2002-03, our last year at First Evangelical when we only went through the sixth grade, enrollment has grown to 620+ students. The 2008-09 class was our first graduating seniors. That same year we received our ACSI and SACS/CASI accreditation. We are thankful for all that God is doing to bless His school.
